The new update is horrendous. The playback is so annoying now. As soon as you lift your finger off the timelime it jumps and moves. So so annoying. I cant download playback footage either now since the new update the app has downgraded massively. EDIT: downgraded to 1 star. Still no fix for playback. It's so frustrating to try and filter to an event. The timeline pings forwards and backwards. I've raised this but the customer service is non-existent. DO BETTER

Hik-Connect is a user-friendly app with a clean interface. However, it would be even better with some additional playback controls. Specifically, the ability to fast forward or skip ahead in increments of 5, 10, or 15 seconds would be incredibly useful. Even just a 10 or 15 second skip function would make reviewing footage much faster and more efficient.

Exceptional feature of viewing all CCTV cameras remotely, anywhere in the world. Major missing thing is playback control. It should have 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x speeds in playback mode. (I have seen this feature earlier in the same app). Also while recording, it should record in selected speed (2x, 4x, 8x). Currently the length of recorded video is increased unnecessarily. Please do the needful.
